Issue
#32
Greetings!
Projects, projects, projects!
I hear it all the time: “We want more projects.”
Well, fellow carvers, your wishes have come true. In this special holiday edition of Carving Magazine, we have gone "project wild." For the first time in our magazine's history, we are giving you an issue with ALL projects! There are twenty-eight new projects and patterns to keep you carving for a year or more.
We hope you enjoy our first "all projects" issue.
There is something for everyone—eighteen holiday ornaments, six different types of Santa carvings, a Christmas elf, an angel to grace the top of your Christmas tree, and a "Mother and Child Relief." (And since this issue will be available on the newsstands before Halloween, we even included a cool Halloween caricature!)
Noah’s Ark Ornament
In this special edition of Carving Magazine, you will see some of our regular (and your favorite) contributors: Ivan Whillock, Rick Wiebe, Dick Keller, James Barr, and Alan Wheeler. |

Mother Child Relief
And you will meet many new contributors: Mike Bloomquist (New York), Georg Noah (Florida), Russ Scott (Minnesota), Rod Beamish (Indiana), Carolla Christie (Canada), Dale Green (Utah), and also Bruce Henn (Ohio)—a proud member of the (CCA) Caricature Carvers of America.
We would like to thank all the creative and talented carvers who contributed to Carving Magazine's holiday edition.
In our next issue, we will be ringing in the New Year with all your favorite articles: new techniques, tips, profiles, and features—and, of course, new projects! And for all our readers who missed Susan Alexander's very popular column, “Let’s Talk Carving," you can look forward to seeing her feature article in our next issue as well.
As always, if you have an original project idea that you would like to share with our readers, be sure to drop me an e-mail.
Happy Carving and Happy Holidays!
