Thanks for that handy tutorial on carving the inside of spoons. I haven't done any spoons but that info looks very helpful.

Thanks for your kind words.

I’m always looking for information to pass along that will help promote the art of carving. This Ask Joe column has been a learning experience for me. One thing I’ve learned is there are many different ways of doing the same tasks. The technique I shown was one I used when I was carving Love Spoons. Love Spoons were part of my inventory when I was working the arts and crafts shows. One show about 20 years ago a lady bought my whole display board with all the spoons on it. It took that show over the top money wise but I haven’t carved a spoon since. I really enjoy seeing a well designed spoon.
