Donna's Harp Project

Postby donpbk » Wed Sep 12, 2007 3:15 pm

Just to keep you all up to date, I'm still working on the Emily carving (slow going) but also making a harp. Here is a link to the blog I'm keeping on it: http://harpmaking.blogspot.com/
I know this isn't exactly carving related, but there is some wood burning on the soundboard. And I have carved a lot of pieces to fit/fix. Didn't get everything right the first time, but a little carving fixed many a problem. LOL Donna

Donna - I've added this to my Favorites so I have time to really look at it later.
You're always doing such incredible things

I'm still studying that "Ultimate Band Saw Box Book". My goodness ..... what a ride. What talent.
I sign every carving with "Phil. 4:13"

Thanks, Nancy. Sometimes I think I've bitten off more than I can chew. This morning I noticed a blank and go-by for a begging dachshund that a friend/teacher at Fredricksburg had lent me 6 months ago. Well, I haven't touched it since- and I need to get it back to him in just a few days. That is embarrassing, but I have been busy- and honestly I just forgot. Same with an eagle cane for the veterans. I will get it done by Jan- but it was supposed to have done by now. Oh well- I just keep plodding along and hope everything important gets done.
Last night I dreamed that I had strung the first string on my harp- plucked it- and it sounded great. So that is my current priority- get the harp DONE.
