Man it's been a while since I've posted. I'm still working on mine in between other projects. I spent some time working on it last night and got a little crazy with my gouge. I chopped off one side of the hat by accident. Turned out to be a good thing because my hat was too wide and thick. I realized I was afraid to cut off too much wood and I couldn't figure out how to make it smaller. The smaller I made it the closer it got to his hairline. Once I chopped off the hat I had to go for it. looking at the other carvings I see i have to go a little deeper on the arms as well
Here is what I have so far sorry for the cell phone pic.
