WOW -- my Issue #20 Arrived Today

Postby Nancy Goff » Mon Sep 24, 2007 7:54 pm

:D :D :D SANTA CLAUSE !!! :D :D :D

WHAT A REALLY GREAT ISSUE. I sure was tickled to see it in my mailbox today.
Chris - your article about Mark Akers, his wonderful Santas and the fantastic photos is a real treat.

And, as expected, I was delighted to see Santas by Marcia "Mush" Berkall, (the object of my jealousy) and her article ... her articles are always interesting to me.

The entire magazine is just FINE. Many thanks.
I sign every carving with "Phil. 4:13"

Hello,

The delivery times sure are strange ... I hope you all receive your Carving Magazine#20 soon if you haven't yet.

Marnie did a wonderful job of polling people, asking questions, market research etc ... I don't have the benefit of her experience in this area. So if people are interested in helping out with something ... I'd love to get some quick feedback sometime from you folks.

Here is the link to the forum questions that I proposed. I'd appreciate any comments anyone would like to make ...

http://www.carvingmagazine.com/phpBB2/v ... .php?t=707

Plus ... try to look at it with a critical eye ... pick it apart ... I won't be disgruntled by any comments ... I'd love to hear the truly good and "do better" for this issue. Compare it to Woodcarving Illustrated, Chip Chats and Wildfowl Carving and Collecting. What are they doing better, worse, different? What would you like to see that none of us are doing?

If you'd rather not put your comments on the forum ... I'd love for you to e-mail me directly. editors@carvingmagazine.com.

Thanks again for all the comments ... Marnie sure left us with a fine magazine ... now we have to keep it going ..
