Hi everyone , I sure am enjoying the different post and the humor that Nancy And Dave have going on with each other, can hardly wait for next installment.
I am a retired contractor (my son is now the third generation running the business )and am trying to find the time to carve.Have been carving since 1992 when I took a 2 1\2 story step and had to find something to do with my hands, while my wife and I were doing some travelling in our motorhome in Arizona I came across a carver whittleling away in front of his rig and stopped to visit. after an hr. of instruction and using his tools I was hooked for good. If I remmember correctly the gentlemans name was Al Jenson. anyway the rest is history. have done a passel of woodspirit carvings in bark ( over 600 )and some caricature carvings , have done some animals and just finished a white dove which was for our church. enough for now , must have you all bored to tears. will try to post some pics as a trial run.
Al
