Well ---- My new computer got me thrown off this site and locked off. Finally I did get a new password but felt so guilty ...........
Sheeeesh, I haven't been carving so I feel pretty guilty about posting.

But - I DID pull out an old, almost finished carving a couple days ago. Talk about FEAR .............

Don't feel bad Nancy.....I hadn't carved anything to speak of for the whole year! Our little dog died in about March and for some reason, kind of lost interest, guess its because she was always chomping at the bit to go to the shop with me? We have another little one now, so don't have a clue what my excuse is now? Just burnt out/doldrums I guess.......I did start on some Christmas ornaments for the swap at WCI and just finished 16 of them.....they go fast and they are good for getting one back in the carving mood......try some Nancy....but of course since its my idea, you have to send them to me lol

Dave -- within the past 24 hours I was looking at and admiring the Santa ornament you sent me a year or two ago (or three or four) and thinking that if I actually got back to carving one of the first things I HAD to do was carve an ornament for that good old Dave -- that kind, Christian, vote-right, generous Dave. I'm sure sorry to hear about your dog. I know how that feels.
Isn't it amazing how things work?

I AM going to try to carve.

I understand getting away from carving but Nancy, your work is absolutely fantastic and I hate to see you quit......many many people including me have learned from your tutorials and from looking at your carvings......:)

I tried!! I got out a knife .....
Not a big deal in carving at all ........ one of my little stick angels. Well, I managed to do two stick angels and one stick Santas. Right now me carving anything is a giant deal.
I wonder if I can post any photo.

WOW
Dave - The owner of the gallery phoned this afternoon to say the 3 carvings had arrived and were SOLD !!
Just like that - sold -- That's what happens when you get tied up with a good gallery.
Funny thing is I was so surprised, tickled and excited I didn't think to ask her what the price was  Probably $7.00, huh?

Thanks Ken --
And (drum roll here, please) guess what .......
There is now a carving club in Union, MO. Wow!!!
I am going to a carving club meeting tonight. Me!! I am going to a carving club meeting. Is this astonishing or what?
It's my first one in .... I guess it's almost 20 years.
I'm so excited I want to get all dressed up but I guess that's sort of not the thing to do, is it?

It starts at 6 PM .... It's now 3:25 --- I'm dressed, packed and ready to go..............
