For those who submit articles, give a view of the rear of the piece, if applicable. A significant number of articles in most magazines do not show the back of the piece.

Dick, do you mean pictures of relief carving or just carvings in-the-round? I agree that if there is information value in a back photo it should be there to make the instructions more complete. Even in a relief carving, if the back was relieved to minimize bow it should also be shown. If the photo doesn't have any information value in an interest of conserving space it should not be included.

an easy way to do the picture so that you wont have to send in two pictures is to put your carving infront of a mirror.. that way you have the front view and with the reflection you have the back view
