Gargoyle-finished carving

Took a chance and entered the advanced class even though it was my first carving and was surprised to win 1st place in the General category and won Best of Show as well. Didn't think I had a chance after looking at the other carvings.

Jim - that's astonishing.

Your first carving?
Where did you get the tools? I don't have those !! ~blush~blush~
Where did you get the idea? I don't have those !! ~blush~blush~
Where did you get the SKILL ? I don't have THAT !! ~blush~blush~

And again - thanks for showing us this incredible work.
I sign every carving with "Phil. 4:13"

Wowzers!!! THAT is one AMAZING carving Jim. Really cool. Well done. Is this for yourself or a comission or spec work? Just curious where it will end up.

Jim, as i said before great work of art. It's takes some imagination to get that out of that stump. and it amazing what some people can do. Mike
