Aaaahhhhh Corey -- that's just super - what FUN!!
If I carved something like that - something so smooth and clean (something I didn't have to burn clean :oops: ) I wouldn't paint it .... I'd just set it on a shelf and admire it.
That's really nice work. Congratulations and thanks for showing us.

Thanks Claude! Here it is all painted up. I used oil colors and finished it with satin lacquer.

It's from Harold Enlows Book: Carving Caricatures in the Ozark Style. It has several hillbilly's including Rufus's famous wife Sadie. It's an inexpensive book at 6.95 and one of my favorites.
